Modern Jewish Art in America

Jewish artists have played a major role in the development of many trends in the fine arts in the years since 1945. We will explore the works of Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, Judy Chicago, and Barnett Newman – among many others – who helped establish such movements as Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, and Pop and Conceptual Art. No previous knowledge necessary; bring only your open mind and wide-open eyes!
