A Day in The Life

September 18, 2014

A day in the life of an arts educator.

Gave a presentation to a group of Seniors at Sinai Free Synagogue in Mount Vernon. The talk was sponsored by Westchester Jewish Community Services and I spoke about Jewish artists in post-WWII America. Artists I chose were Rothko, Krasner, Frankenthaler, Newman and Gottleib. An interesting, diverse group of people with lots of thoughtful comments on the artwork I presented. As a result, we’ll do a tour to The Jewish Museum within the next month to see the Krasner work that is now being shown. I’ve also suggested they see the Frankenthaler work that is presently at the Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue.
